History

The professional land surveying firm of Lloyd & Hill Inc has developed from a sole proprietorship called Gavin Lloyd & Associates to an incorporated company that was established in November 2005.

Summary of Experience & Expertise

The practice takes pride in being innovative and has a reputation for being able to tackle challenging projects.

We have a wide range of clients and connections within the Cape Town CBD professional planning community and ‘built environment’. We have developed some long term relationships with developers and professionals in the city of Cape Town and other areas of the Western Cape. This and further extensive planning experience with major corporations in South Africa provides us with key skills to advise on planning, cadastral and sectional title issues.

We have also acquired a unique range of experience in engineering surveys including some of the most challenging undertaken in the country.

Lloyd & Hill Inc. have also been one of the first organizations in the country to embrace 3D laser scanning as a new tool facilitating specific high volume 3D data capture requirements. With four years of experience and over 30 significant successful scanning projects completed, we take pride in being leaders in this industry.
Gavin Lloyd has served the industry as current president of SAGI (South African Geomatics Institute) since 2007.

Lloyd and Hill Inc. are based in Rondebosch, Cape Town. There are currently 2 directors plus 5 permanent employees.
The team comprises three professional land surveyors, an engineering surveyor (articles), a surveyor and support staff.
