ENGINEERING:

Green Point World Cup 2010 Football Stadium

Green Point World Cup 2010 Football Stadium Project surveyors for the roof installation to contractors Birdair and Pfeifer. Includes precise surveying and monitoring of columns and steelwork during the assembly of the compression ring cables and trusses. » View photos

Koeberg Nuclear Power Station

We have a long history of specialist service with this power station, providing regular deformation monitoring and other engineering surveys.

Chapman's Peak

This well known roadway on the Cape Peninsula, cut into the steep cliffs of Chapman’s Peak, was recently upgraded with new rock-fall protection constructed to protect motorists. The entire mountainside was modeled as a precise DTM using photogrammetry, laser survey and traditional methods to provide a mathematical basis for the placement of rock-fall barriers.

8km Conveyor in Goa, India

A substantial survey, involving route planning, was undertaken to provide a detailed plan of the proposed route through complex terrain for a proposed 8km conveyor belt.

SA Navy

Precise positioning services for the alignment of weaponry and automatic tracking devices on the Corvettes

Pebble Bed Modular Reactor

General survey services for the planning stages of this pilot nuclear project

Atlantis – Ankerlig Power Station

CADASTRAL & PLANNING:

V&A Waterfront

Our history of service at the Waterfront goes back to 1989 at the start of its transformation from a working harbour into the major tourist attraction that it is today. Since then our services have included a wide variety of disciplines from Cadastral and Engineering surveys to Sectional Title. We continue to provide survey services for their ongoing development

Langebaan

Lloyd & Hill Inc. provide survey and detailed planning services for a 5-year development project in Langebaan, including over 1900 residential and business erven, a Shopping Centre, School and Hospital.

One and Only Hotel, Cape Town

Lloyd & Hill were the Land Surveyors on this project involving Cadastral Surveys and a complex Sectional Title Scheme.

Grandwest Casino

This very large Casino was constructed in under a year. As Gavin Lloyd & Associates, we provided consultation, control, cadastral, and a variety of engineering survey services in this project.

CTICC / Westin Grand

Cadastral services on the Cape Town International Convention Centre, the Westin Grand Hotel and Spearhead building

OIL & GAS:

Gas Pipeline

In a six-month project with engineers and environmental consultants, an 800km gas pipeline route was established from the Orange River to Cape Town.

Saldanha Bay Upgrade

Lloyd & Hill Inc. have provided survey services for this major project currently underway to provide a shipyard facility for the African oil industry.

Oil Rig modifications

Lloyd & Hill Inc have been involved in dimension control, as-built, and deformation surveys for a number of rigs during upgrades and modification projects that have taken place in Cape Town.

Oil Service Centre, Luanda

Survey control and survey consultation for this extensive port upgrade project in Luanda, Angola has been provided by Lloyd & Hill Inc. Ongoing support is provided for the infrastructural upgrade of the City of Luanda.

3D LASER SCANNING

Since 2005 Lloyd & Hill Inc. have undertaken scanning projects on power stations – nuclear, coal fired, and a coal-gassification project, several petrochemical plants and Mining vessels. Over thirty successful projects spanning 3 countries have been undertaken. In our quest to meet our clients’ specific needs we have had much interaction with Cape Town software developer Smarttech who’s uSmart - Mass Data Module software facilitates mass data viewing and manipulation in MicroStation.
